Bone meal is made by degumming and defatting the bones of livestock and poultry. Mainly contains calcium phosphate, magnesium salts and other large amounts of minerals and organic substances such as glial and protein. Phosphorus content of more than 30%, using bone meal feed for livestock and poultry, not only can promote its growth and development, enhance physical fitness, but also increase milk production, egg production ability.

Here are some ways to make bone meal:
1. It is generally suitable for self-control by rural families. Put the bones into the pot and add water to cook them, or use a quick lime, 2 parts of ash, and water to stir. Use the clear liquid to cook the bones, and then remove the fat and gum from the bones. There is no oil in the bones. The bones are then dried and ground and then ground into powder.

2, the processing of crude bone meal.
 (1) Crushing: The bone is pressed into small pieces and placed in a pot and boiled for 1-8 hours in order to remove the fat in the bone. When processing coarse bone meal, it is best combined with the processing of boiled bone oil and bone acid. In this way, bone oil and glue can also be obtained in addition to bone meal.

(2) Drying: Leach the water and dry it, put it into a drying chamber or a drying furnace, and dry it at a temperature of 100-140°C for 10-12 hours.

(3) Crushing: The dried bone is ground into a powder with a crusher or a stone mill.

 (4) Finished product specifications: The composition of bone meal varies slightly with the bone raw materials. The bone powder processed by fresh bone is generally 23% of protein, 48% of calcium phosphate, 3% of fat, and 2% of crude fiber. Third, steamed bone meal processing. The bone oil residue is made from raw materials. The bones are placed in a sealed tank and steam is introduced to heat at 105-110°C. Every hour, once the oil is drained, most of the fat in the bone is removed. At the same time, some of the protein is decomposed into glue, which can be used as a raw material for making glue. The batter of fats and oils that have been boiled and steamed, dried, and then pulverized are steamed with bone meal. The finished product is crisp and easy to digest and has no special odor, but its protein content is less than that of the crude bone meal.
